On April 18, H.E. Mr.WU Zexian, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China was interviewed by Lebanese magazine Diplomatic, and replied to questions about China’s economic and social developments and foreign policy etc. Talking to the situation in middle-east region, Mr. WU emphasized that out of seeking for self-interests, China calls always for peace and stability in middle-east region, this position is in accordance with the fundamental and long-term interests of the people of the region. China maintains its non-intervention policy in internal affairs of others, and respects the path of development chosen by the people themselves. Concerning the Syrian crisis, Mr. Wu pointed out that China will neither protect nor deliberately oppose to someone, and China will always take an objective and just stance to encourage political dialogue and all initiative for its peaceful solution. China supports vigorously UN Arab League join envoy Mr. Kofi Annan’s mediation and is willing to make its efforts with international community to resovle the crisis of Syria as soon as possible through political dialogue.
