The 9th China （Shenzhen） International Cultural Industries Fair （hereinafter referred to as "ICIF"）will be held from May 17 to 20, 2013, in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre. ICIF is hosted by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the General Administration of Press and Publication of the People’s Republic of China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Guangdong Provincial People’s Government and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. It is the only national-level, internationalized and integrated cultural industries fair in China, ICIF focuses on exposition and trade and is committed to building the trade platform for China’s cultural industrial products and projects, promoting and driving the development of China’s cultural industries and actively advancing the globalization of Chinese cultural products.

After 9 years of growth and development, ICIF’s exhibition area grow from 43130 ㎡ to 105000 ㎡, the number of ICIF’s exhibitors grow from more than 700 to 1928, the turnover grow from 35.69 billion RMB to 143.551 billion RMB. ICIF has became the “Top Cultural Fair in China”, it is the best platfrom for the exchange and cooperation between Chinese and foreign culture.

The 9th ICIF will continuously pursue the concept of "Internationalization, Professionalism, Market Orientation, Choice Orientation and Standardization". With the theme of "exhibition and exchange"，the 9th ICIF will focus on the exhibition of creative design, press and publication, media and animation, intangible cultural heritage, painting and calligraphy, arts and crafts, and highlight on “culture + creativity”, “culture + technology”, “culture + tourism”, “culture + finance”. We will introduce more good quality exhibition resources of different sectors into ICIF, build ICIF as the international top exhibition brand.

ICIF is the only cultural fair that approved by UFI （The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry）and mentioned in “The Guidelines of China’s Eleventh Five-Year Plan for Cultural Development” and ’’The Decisions of a number of major issues to deepen the cultural restructuring, promote the development and prosperity of socialist cultural" in the Sixth Plenary Session of the Seventeenth CPC Central Committee.
