In recent years, bio-metric visas have rapidly gained popularity throughout the world, more and more countries have successfully implemented bio-metric visas.

With reference to international practices and experience, the Embassy of China in Lebanon authorizes the Chinese Visa Application Center in Beirut to collect fingerprints from all Chinese visa applicants starting from June 10th, 2018.

Applicants from 14 years old to 70 years old will be obliged to go to the Visa Application Center in person to submit their applications with fingerprints. Applicants holding diplomatic passports, applying for diplomatic, official or courtesy visas, or with ten incomplete fingerprints are exempt from submitting their fingerprints.

The collected fingerprints will be directly submitted by the Visa Application Center to the Embassy. Applicants applying for a Chinese visa again within the next 5 years will not need to submit their fingerprints once more.
