Following the announcement of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon would like to note the details of the adoption of the above policies as follows:

I. Starting from 10 September 2020, China-bound passengers traveling from Lebanon are required to take nucleic acid tests for COVID-19 in Lebanon and obtain valid green health codes with an "HS" mark(for Chinese citizens only) or Health Declaration Forms(for foreign passengers only) before boarding. Airlines will check the health codes or Health Declaration Forms before passengers boarding the connecting flights to China.

II. Time of nucleic acid tests and testing facilities

All nucleic acid tests for COVID-19 should be completed within 3 days (72 hours) before boarding (If the transit place or airline has a shorter time limit for the nucleic acid test, the transit place or airline shall prevail). The tests should be taken in facilities designated or recognized by the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon. (Click here for the list) Results issued by the other testing agencies will not be recognized.

III. How to apply for the Health Code (For Chinese passengers only)

1. Chinese passengers should search WeChat mini program "COVID-19 Prevention Health Code International Version".

2. Once getting the negative test results, Chinese passengers are required to take photographs of the certificates and upload it to the "COVID-19 Prevention Health Code International Version" within 12 hours. Upon verification by the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon, the applicants will get the green Health Code with "HS" Symbols (See attachment 1 ). Click here for Q&As.

3. Please make sure to board the flight within the validity period of the Health Code and cooperate with the staff of the airlines for checking the said Code.

IV. How to apply for the Health Declaration Form (For Foreign passengers only)

1. Foreign passengers, within 24 hours after getting the negative test results, should send the scanned copies of the page of personal information of their valid passport, negative result certificates of COVID-19 nucleic acid tests and the duly signed Health Declaration Form(See the attachment 2) to the designated e-mail address of the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon: consulate_lbn@mfa.gov.cn.

2. After the due verification, the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon will send the Health Declaration Form back to the applicants by email. The Foreign passengers bound for China should then print out the Health Declaration Form and bring it to the airport.

3. Please make sure to board the flight within the validity period of the Health Declaration Form and cooperate with the staff of the airlines for checking the said Letter.

V. Reminders

1. All passengers who intend to take flight bound for China shall read this notice carefully. If you could not complete the COVID-19 nucleic acid tests or get the certificate of a negative result in time or didn't obtain the green Health Code with "HS" Symbols or the Health Declaration Form, it would mean that you temporarily failed to meet with the relevant requirements for boarding. Please readjust your schedule accordingly.

2. Please make sure that your green Health Code with "HS" Symbols or the Health Declaration Form is still valid at the local time of transit airport in which the Joint Announcement has been officially implemented (Click here for the list). Otherwise, you may be denied boarding.

3. The uploaded test certificate must be complete, clear, and unmodified. If the quality of the uploaded certificate is poor or modified, it will affect the embassy's review work and the loss shall be borne by the passengers.

4. Once receive the certificate of a negative result, please carefully check personal information such as name, age, date of birth, gender, etc., to avoid mistake due to the negligence of the staff, resulting in the uploaded test certificate not being recognized by the embassy and affecting the trip.

5. Due to the unstable local network, there may be some delays and omissions during the implementation of the green Health Code with "HS". Passengers are suggested to go to the airport in advance to complete the relevant procedures to avoid affecting the journey.

6. Please make preparations in case the staff of the airlines have doubts about passengers' green Health Code with "HS", they may request an on-site inspection of the original test results.7. Passengers who provide false test results or information will bear corresponding legal liabilities.
