The rapid opening up of China in recent years has led to a remarkable increase in its people-to-people exchanges with other countries, creating a great demand for Chinese visas. In order to provide better service to the visa applicants, the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon decided to set up a China Visa Application Center in Beirut (hereinafter referred to as the "Visa Center"), to handle the daily routine work of processing ordinary visa applications to the mainland of China.

Starting from 7th November 2017, all the ordinary passport holders in Lebanon who wish to visit the mainland of China are kindly requested to apply for visas at the Visa Center.

After the opening of the Visa Center, the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon will no longer accept visa applications from ordinary passport holders. Holders of diplomatic or service (official) passports, applicants eligible to apply for China's diplomatic, courtesy and service visas, and applicants applying for a visa to Hong Kong or Macao should still apply directly to the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon.
